Who Killed the Electric Car (2006) – March 14, 2007

It was among the fastest, most efficient production cars ever built. It ran on electricity and produced no emissions. The lucky few who drove one never wanted to give it up. So why did G.M. crush its fleet of EV1 electric vehicles in the Arizona desert in 2004? Produced in 2006 by a former EV1 owner and narrated by Martin Sheen, “Who Killed the Electric Car?’ is a murder mystery like no other, as it unravels the puzzling demise of a vehicle that could have had a positive impact on greenhouse gas emissions and the world’s dangerous addiction to oil. Showtime is 7 p.m. at EMCS theatre. Admission is by donation.
