This is the story of acclaimed environmental photographer James Balog’s mission to gather undeniable evidence of our changing climate:  The Extreme Ice Survey.  With a band of young adventurers in tow, he used revolutionary time-lapse cameras across the brutal Arctic to capture a multi-year record of the world’s changing glaciers.  Battling untested technology in subzero conditions, he comes face to face with his own mortality.  This is a hauntingly beautiful film that compresses years into seconds and captures ancient mountains of ice in motion as they disappear at a breathtaking rate.  The visuals are augmented by interviews with glaciologists and climate scientists and some simple charts and graphs explaining why the extreme ice survey work is so critical.

“You’ve never seen images like this before….it deserves to be seen and felt on the big screen”….Robert Redford
